Graduate School Honors 2016 Hall of Fame Scholars

The Graduate School at Mississippi State University recently honored seven scholars with induction into the Graduate School Hall of Fame.  Associate Vice President for Academic Affairs and Dean of the Graduate School Dr. Lori Bruce welcomed the new inductees during a ceremony held Thursday, April 7, in the Grisham Room of Mitchell Memorial Library.  The 2016 Graduate School Hall of Fame Scholars are:

Jonathan Belanich, College of Arts and Sciences M.S., Applied Anthropology Advisor: Dr. Molly Zukerman

Audri A. Brown, College of Education Ph.D., Educational Psychology Advisor: Dr. Anastasia Elder

Vineetha Menon, James Worth Bagley College of Engineering Ph.D., Electrical and Computer Engineering Advisor: Dr. James Fowler

Eric Michel, College of Forest Resources Ph.D., Wildlife, Fisheries and Aquaculture Advisor: Dr. Steve Demarais

Bryan Rogers, College of Business Ph.D., Business Administration – Management Advisor: Dr. Laura Marler

Thomas Graham Rosser, College of Veterinary Medicine Ph.D., Veterinary Medical Sciences, Basic Sciences Advisor: Dr. Matt Griffin

Sandra R. Schachat, College of Agriculture and Life Sciences M.S., Entomology Advisor: Dr. Richard L. Brown

Students must be nominated by their dean and/or department head to be considered for induction into the Graduate School Hall of Fame. One outstanding graduate student who has contributed significantly to the growth of MSU through exemplary leadership and outstanding research or teaching skills in his or her college of study is selected by the dean of the college.  In addition to being honored during the induction ceremony and reception, a commemorative canvas of each inductee will hang in the Hall of Fame of The Graduate School for the academic year.
