Direct Admit allows applicants who meet certain criteria to be automatically admitted to participating programs.

Complete the online application, pay the application fee, and submit any required documents.
Step 2
The admissions team will evaluate your application. If you meet the criteria for a Direct Admit program, you’ll be admitted automatically. Otherwise, your application will go to the department for further review.

- Bachelor's degree in major (Exception: Program marked with * will accept any major)
- GPA of 3.0 or higher
- Three supportive recommendation letters (not required for certificates)

- Bachelor of Science in Nursing or higher [e.g. MSN, DNP]
- GPA of 3.0 or higher
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) License
DEPARTMENT REVIEW FLAGS:
- B.S. GPA below 3.0
- Does not have active RN license
- Degree not in major
Direct Reject Note: TGS will NOT reject applicants. If criteria are not met, send application to the department for review.

Direct Admission Instructions
1. In Admissions Review, research the applicant and review the application to fill out top portion of review form.
2. If the applicant meets the direct admit or reject criteria, select direct admit/ reject. Then, select appropriate decision and move application to Grad School Final Review.
If application requires additional review by department, select departmental review required. *Please make notes in Admission comments box about why application needs further review.
*If applicant has on Grad work that makes them provisional requiring Dean’s Signature, then please make a note that applicant meets direct admit criteria based on bachelor’s GPA but graduate work meets provisional status. Then, send to the College Dean Review bin.
3. In Grad School Final Review, please select the appropriate decision based on how applicant was processed.
- Admit contingent if missing official transcripts
- Admit regular if all official documents have been received
Applicants who are rejected should be marked Reject- Academic deficiency.
*Please put reason in the rejection comments to be displayed in student’s letter.
